Wheel Walk or Jog (WWJ) is an annual event organized by HWA to raise funds and to thank their donors by wheeling, walking or jogging with a flag representing each donor. A carnival is organized simultaneously, for members of the association as well as beneficiaries and donors to have a morning of fun.

In the event’s 33rd year running this year, we have with us a new addition of volunteers from the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. This new collaboration aims to add a new dimension of fund raising as well as raise awareness for the handicapped community.

The vision of WWJ Student Branch is Encouraging hearts, Empowering lives, Exceeding capabilities. Our mission is to raise awareness about the needs of the handicapped community and the resources available for them as well as to raise funds for HWA’s operations and services.

In the spirit of the new collaboration, we are excited to include additional elements on top of the usual programme executed in the past years. We will be organizing a running event in which the longer the distance the runners achieve, the greater the amount of funds raised.

We will also be organizing an additional carnival component, with a main aim to educate the public about the handicapped community as well as to educate the handicapped community about the opportunities and services available in Singapore.
